2012 Sonoma Coast Sauvignon Blanc
Our Sauvignon Blanc grapes were sourced from the Adobe Road Vineyard in Sonoma County. This Vineyard is located in the midst of the highly regarded Sonoma Coast Appellation, and is a site that benefits from the cooling effects of the San Pablo Bay. The nose is reminiscent of grapefruit and honey, with a teardrop of kiwi. This is a weighty white wine with flavors of ripe melon, plum and apricot.
2011 Los Carneros Pinot Gris
Our Pinot Gris grapes were acquired from a location at the southern most point of Los Carneros. A site that is influenced by the San Pablo Bay, which expresses traits of a cooler climate aided by ample fog and wind.
A bouquet of ripe juicy cantaloupe fills the glass with faint honeysuckle emerging through the effervescence. Flavors of pear and ripe grapefruit settle in as this wine rounds out with a long crisp finish.
2009 Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel
Our Zinfandel was sourced from Felta Creek Vineyard in the Dry Creek Valley, the epicenter of California Zinfandel. It is perfectly balanced, reminisant of brambleberry and black currant. It is a leaner zinfandel with an extremely long finish that has accents of spice and focused tannins.
2008 Los Carneros Syrah
We have a long track record with this vineyard including a rating of 94 in Wine Enthusiast Magazine. This is a cool site on the eastern slope of Wildcat Mountain.
The 2008 Syrah Los Carneros is a smooth wine with a dense mouthfeel. Blackberry and dark cherry with a hint of smoked meat and sandalwood fill the palate. Velvet tannins create a persistant finish.
2008 Sonoma Valley Syrah
These grapes were acquired from a small vineyard located just outside the town of Sonoma, and is meticulously farmed by viticulturist Jim Walker.
The 2008 Syrah Sonoma Valley shows an array of fruit, starting with the usual suspects of black raspberry and black currant with blueberry, pomegranate, and cranberry in the background. A nose of grilled meats accompanies the fruit, along with caramel and eucalyptus on the finish. A luscious mouth feel and silky tannins round out this balanced wine.
2011 Los Carneros Pinot Noir
Our Pinot Noir from Daniela's Block was acquired from Grower and Producer Jim Walker of Eric K James wines and Napa-Sonoma Vineyard Group. The vineyard is located on the eastern slope of Wildcat Mountain in Carneros.
Raspberry, cola, and subtle smoke fill the glass. Blueberry and raspberry lead into a full mouthfeel of black currant with soft white pepper on the finish.
2009 Cold Creek Ranch Chardonnay
Cold Creek Vineyard is the home of this Carneros Chardonnay. This renown vineyard produces sleek, yet majestic wines. Barrel fermented and 100% Malolactic fermentation, TAJ Cellars hit the mark with this wine.
A bright and juicy Chardonnay with a silky complexity Pineapple and melon are thoughts that cross the mind, ending in a persistent ripe citrus finish. All the while you are hoping that was not the last bit of wine from the bottle.
2008 Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel
This extraordinary Zinfandel was sourced from Felta Creek Vineyard in the famed Dry Creek Valley. It is perfectly balanced, reminisant of jammy blackberry and black currant. It is a voluptuous wine with an extremely long finish that has accents of spice and focused tannins.
2007 Sonoma Valley Syrah
These Syrah grapes come from a small vineyard located on 'Old Winery Road' northeast of the town of Sonoma. This beautiful vineyard is again the result of Jim Walker and Napa-Sonoma Vineyard Group. We can't say enough about Jim and the grapes that he delivers to us. Although, once they come to us we believe there is nobody better to handle them than TAJ Cellars.
The 2007 Syrah Sonoma Valley interests the nose with red currant and raw ground vanilla. Once it hits the palate, bing cherry and anise enter the frey. A richness coats the mouth that melds the flavors together. The persistence of this wine is unrelenting leaving a hint of caramel and silky tannins.
2007 Los Carneros Syrah
The highly rated 2006 was a tremendous success. We believe we topped the 2006 with our effort in 2007. The fruit was again sourced from the home turf of Napa-Sonoma Vineyard Group on the eastern slope of Wildcat Mountain.
This wine is alive! Evolving in the glass throughout the night. The 2007 Syrah Los Carneros engulfs the nose in blackberry, black cherry, sandalwood, anise, with a hint of leather. The plush mouth-feel is amazing, compelling the wine drinker back to the glass. Pepper and smoked meat comes to mind. The tannins are strong, but seductive. The finish is long and rich in sweet smokey oak.
